Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE)

2023-2024

Client: TetraTech

ESMIA trained the Power System Planning Working Group (PSPWG) to use the TIMES model for analysis for the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).  This work was done to support the Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE) project, which is funded by USAID and implemented by Tetra Tech. BADGE aims to improve energy security and resilience in Bangladesh by improving access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy systems and promoting transparent and efficient energy markets. The goal of BADGE activities is to advance private sector investment, promote policy and regulatory environments favorable to the sector and investors, support entrepreneurs developing and distributing energy technologies, and convene platforms to share best practices in energy sector management.
