ProsumArise is a flexible intelligent agent-based framework to study how energy policy affects the advent of prosumers. The model simulates the transformation of conventional consumers into prosumers under a given energy policy for a given jurisdiction for a long-term horizon.
A high-performance model to track prosumer evolution
ProsumArise model’s results have been used by decision makers from public and private organizations to:
- Plan incentives for distributed generation and storage
- Estimate residential market opportunity (demand for PV generators, residential storage, etc.) under different investment conditions
- Assess energy performance of households and advice on potential energy savings
- Evaluate the impact of prosumers on load profiles
- Identify sensitive locations on a territory that could prompt a death spiral effect and energy poverty
- Estimate GHG reduction potential of residential prosumers
